Yeah, fair enough. I guess if we could get "snap this section" then we could snap the whole thing, then if it is horribly wrong then try by just snapping a part at a time, and that would probably be easier to implement.
Thanks for the suggestion. I think that might be quite tricky to develop and use though - the complexity required would probably be little different from using the existing Reshape Route tool to fix any sections that didn't snap correctly, but it's something we can think about.
It seems like snapping happens with a lot less restriction now, but at the cost of sometimes being completely wrong! Could we get an "Unsnap this section" option?
That's a good idea, thanks for the suggestion, we may be able to amend it at some point to do that.
The "Snap Route to Map" feature is great, but does not allow for situations like use of a track that isn't shown on the map, or use of a track that isn't publically accessible. It would be great if we could snap only part of the route to the map.
Easiest implimentation I can think of would be that the user selects a start and end point, the existing tool works inwards from those points to find a point it can start snapping, and then it proceeds exactly as the existing tool does.
