I understand they're aware and working on it. In the meantime, you can either create a route in the Garmin Connect app (bit rubbish as it uses Google maps which doesn't highlight/recognise footpaths), do the same in Garmin Connect web version but change map type to OpenStreetMap to see paths as well as roads, or continue using plotaroute and download the route as a .gpx file and then import to Courses in Connect web version.
