Hello,
We’d like to apologise for these unexpected payment requests. We completely understand your concerns.
To be absolutely clear: Plotaroute will never ask for payment or card details to install the web app or use any of the free features on our website or web app. We do offer a premium subscription, but any other payment prompts are not from us.
It seems that some misleading third-party advertisements, shown via the ad network we use to support the free version, may be causing this. These ads may try to trick users into entering their payment details, sometimes under the pretense of offering a free app or service. We're working to block these and improve ad quality.
While ad revenue helps keep Plotaroute free, we do not tolerate deceptive practices. If you have been affected, we encourage you to report the ad and contact your bank immediately if any charges were made.
Thank you for your understanding. We're actively addressing the issue. In the meantime, please use only our official website and the Free WebApp banner (to install on mobile), and ignore any payment prompts unless you’re intentionally signing up for the premium subscription.

I have just created another set of routes on Plotaroute for a trip next week. Two colleagues who are going on the trip have, independently, just tried to set up the App, and cannot do so without entering card details.....which, fortunately, I had already advised them not to do. I can give them the paper copies of the route, but that does not work when looking at the road and steering.
Strongly agree with Paul below...and hope this can be sorted.
This seems to still be a problem on plotaroute.. I was asked for card details with £0.00 but I've now had money taken out by ATNPDK.COM and CHUCKLETIME.CLUB. Neither of which I have ever heard of or subscribed to. The bank contacted me about the first one and stopped a payment of £36.96 but the second one had already made a charge of £3.59 and a pending payment of £59.99. Plotaroute seems to have serious holes in their online security.
Hi Jim,
indeed in the app you see ads requesting you to pay to have access to some services.
But it is not Plotaroute who asks you to pay. If you are a premium user you needn't to pay more. And if you are a free user, we won't ask you to pay anonther fee than the subscription.
Kind regards,
Helene
In August, I installed the App, and was surprised to be asked to pay £1.03. As it appeared to be from Plotaroute, I continued. Shortly afterwards, my bank sent a text asking me to confirm that a payment of £51.67 to EUWARE NET was valid. I contacted the bank, got the payment and my bank card cancelled. Today, a colleague of mine to whom I had recommended Plotaroute, downloaded the App, was asked for a token 1p payment, then subsequently found he had a large DD set up on his bank account. Yes, in hindsight, we should not have paid, but more concerning is the link to Plotaroute.
