In the last few weeks, Autoplot on foot has suddenly started plotting ridiculous routes between two points, going sometimes a kilometre out of its way rather than just continuing straight along a road.
In the map in the link below, it takes an odd diversion just before the 1km marker. Something very strange happens on the aast side of Lambeth Bridge, then it loses the plot entirely and repeatedly after 3km.
Any ideas?
(I tried to insert the pic here, but am too stupid to work out how to do it.)
Print screen, maybe edit it to grab just what you want, Copy it (Ctrl-C) and paste it here (Ctrl-V).

Thank you. Here is the pic.

Nope, didn't work ....
How about sharing a link to your route. It's hard to tell what's going on with the screenshot and I think the route I got is fine.

I have the same issue.. the route I used to plot around the same area ,was never an issue.. would just follow the map. But now, all of a sudden, it makes huger detours.. something is off
Hi Roger,
I just answered your support ticket and agree that the situation you raised seems odd.
OSM data is correct, but auto-plotting does not work for bike and foot.
The workaround to disable the auto-plot for that specific section is the immediate solution, but I will raise this issue with the devs to investigate why the auto-plot feature stopped working as it used to.
I'll update this topic as soon as I receive any information.
Best regards,
Julien
hey Julien, yes, i just plotted it manually. The auot plot works in some places, then others, it makes those huge detours, for no reason. Interesting. Hope you can fix it soon, love to plot my rides with the tool.
Hi Roger, hi everyone,
Just a small update to say that we just talked about this with the devs.
