  Above the previously described measures, a script automaticaly blocking IPs making suspicious number of visits to plotaroute has been deployed.
  It seems that it managed to mitigate the issues, feel free to contact us if any mistakes were made blocking your access.

  I also resolved two problems today : one regarding the emails not sent by plotaroute, and the other mentionned by Mark Saunders regarding the link with Visorando.
  
  Again, we apologize for the inconvenience, and we are making our best to handle the issues.

  Happily, the plotaroute.com website has been working well for the past 24 hours (at least for me). Thank you to the website staff at Plotaroute/Visorando for enabling this. Fingers-crossed this improvement will continue tomorrow (Monday) when website traffic can increase after the weekend.

   

  As mentioned in my post yesterday, I would be grateful if you kindly correct the broken link between Plotaroute and Visorando. This web server error is stopping routes being transferred between the two platforms (a feature that I find most useful). Thank you.

  I am afraid that the web site is still not working for me. I have been attempting for 90 minutes to display a saved route without success.

  Most of the time - and for 12 hours yesterday - I receive an error message saying either 'Server not found' or 'we can't connect to the server'. On the few occasions that I can connect I find that the maps for the route do not display. In addition, the link to Visorando from Plotaroute now gives a 'Server error 500 message'.

  I would be grateful for an indication of when you anticipate these substantive web site issues will be fixed. Thank you.

  Still can't see some maps, or edit. Fri. 11.00 UK. Need a printout for Sunday, else I'll have to draw on my OS Explorer map, and carry that 😕😂

  Is this why the map won't load when I try to plot a route? It just remains grey.

  Antoine from Visorando here.
  
  We faced a massive bot crawling activity on the website until it became unresponsive.
  
  The bots are spread all around the world and the issues very difficult to mitigate.
  
  We just modified our configuration to try a tool aiming to address this issue.
  
  Some problems may occur in the meantime while the configuration is propagating accross servers, and some users may have to complete a challenge (Kind of Captchas and Are you a bot things) before accessing plotaroute.
  
  Feel free to keep us updated about your experience using plotaroute, we're trying our best to fight against the issues.

  It is getting worse to the point where plotaroute is now basically unusable.
