    Hi David,

I went to OSM to find out more about the Cycle Map and here is what I found:

No idea why the key is in French, even though my OSM is in English.
The words are nearly the same, but just for good measure:

    International cycle route
    National cycle route
    Regional cycle route
    Local cycle route
    MTB route
    Numbered route junction

Regarding arrowheads, do you mean this?

    Translation:
Two-way street for bicycles (one-way for cars)
    Designated cycle route

    I hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Julien

Hi - can anyone tell me what the various coloured lines in the Cycle Map mean?

According to the map key, there are Red, Cyan and Blue lines, but I don't see any Cyan lines at all.  I do have Red and Blue lines, but there are also loads of Magenta and Orange lines.

I saw a forum message which says that the Orange ones are mountain bike routes.  But what do the Magenta ones mean?

And some routes have arrow-heads printed all along them.  What does that indicate?
