Annotations look odd when zoomed far out. One might zoom out for a long route, such as a marathon, and then annoations could dominate the map. Some thoughts / suggestions:
- Change size of annotations with zooming in or zooming out.
- Allow users to specify a zoom level when annotations will become visible. Zooming out farther than that level shows annotations as a small dot. The dot indicates an annotation exists at that point, but doesn't show what the annotation is.
- User might specify the visiblity zoom level for the entire map.
- Consider allowing user to classify annotations, and having different visiblity zoom levels for different classifications.
Another suggestion for annotations; Allow user to enter a "return" characer to have annotations on more than one line. This might be done with <shift> Enter, <Ctrl> Enter, or <Alt> Enter.
