From the market ground go down to the lights along Stockport Road turning up Quick Road. At the top turn right going down to the Farrars Arms, sharp right along Stockport Road, next left down High Grove Road. At the bottom go straight over the stone bridge across the canal, bear to the right in the car park and go through the gap in trees, turn left and follow the path over the river, through a gate and straight on up the hill to Manchester Road. Cross the road, go up Shadows Lane and turn right to go down the bridle path. At the end continue on to Egmont street. At the end turn right onto Manchester Road, left up Stamford Road and back to the club. To make it up to 10km do a loop passing the vets and back around to the club.
