From the football club, turn left down Old Brow. At the school keep going straight onto a gravel track and then turn left onto Cecil Street. At the bottom cross over the road take the footpath straight ahead (Apsley Side). At the bottom of the steps cross over onto Waggon Road. After crossing the canal take the cobbled road on the right and follow Staley Road past Raja Brothers. At the top of Staley Road, cross over Huddersfield Road onto Heyheads New Road. Follow the track all the way to the mini roundabout at Carrbrook. Turn right onto Buckton Vale Road, turn left into Oakfield Avenue, right onto Carrbrook Crescent and right onto Moorland Road. Half way along Moorland Road turn left onto a track on the left and then immediately right when the track splits (this takes you behind Carrbrook Scout Hut). Follow the track as it turns left and takes you between the buildings at Hilltop Farm. After the farm the track bears right and becomes a footpath that leads to Besom Lane. Carry on down Besom Lane and just before the housing estate turn left onto a track that leads to Brushes Reservoir. Turn left along Brushes Road by the side of the reservoir, then take a sharp left and follow the track up the hill and all the way back to Carrbrook (Pennine Bridleway). The track will drop down into Carrbrook by Calico Crescent, turn left and then right on Castle Lane and then follow it all the way until you reach the masts before the cricket club (fingerboard to Huddersfield Road ΒΌ mile). Turn left on to a track and follow it down to the S-bend. Cross over the road and take the steps onto Richmond Crescent. Follow Richmond Crescent and take a footpath on the left which cuts through to Earnshaw Clough. Turn left towards Micklehurst Road. Follow Micklehurst Road and return to the club via Waggon Road and Stamford Road.

About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
