River And Shalford Park
Park at Shalford Park, which I believe isn't very expensive and also has some play equipment.
Take the path that goes adjacent to the road, some days you'll see a football game on your left, some days, cows. At the end of the path you'll have a bridge in front of you over the river. Cross this and follow the path to the left along the river.
Keep going until you reach another big bridge over the river. Lots of people get in and paddle here. This is also where you see the big sandy hill that can be climbed up to reach the chapel. On the way down I have marked an easier route, which does go past a very pretty little bridge.
When ready to return, cross the big bridge and follow the path back to Shalford Park.
