Bergtour Über Das Gottesackerplateau
Deze unieke bergtocht wordt gekenmerkt door de steile noordwand van de Hohe Ifen en het Gottesackerplateau, een geologisch en botanisch uitzonderlijk karstlandschap aan de voet van de Hohe Ifen. Vanaf het startpunt van de tocht bij het dalstation van de Ifenbahn leidt een natuurrijk wandelpad door het bos naar het middenstation van de Ifenbahn / Ifenhütte. Als alternatief kunt u tot hier de Ifenbahn nemen. Vanaf daar leidt een breed wandelpad in serpentines een matig steil pad omhoog naar de Ifenmulde en langs de imposante, steile wanden van het Ifenplateau tot aan de top van de Hahnenköpfle. Hier begint het Gottesackerplateau, een wild gekloofd karstlandschap - een absolute must voor geologisch en botanisch geïnteresseerden. Het gemarkeerde wandelpad leidt over het Gottesackerplateau naar de Gottesackeralpe, over de Torkopfscharte en de Windecksattel. Vanaf hier volgt u het wandelpad dat door het Mahdtal naar beneden loopt en langs de Hölloch voert, een groot ondergronds grottensysteem. Het eindpunt van de tocht is bij het Mahdtalhaus.
