Possible not a walk if you dont like steep climbs or sheer cliff edges. Definately decent hiking footwear is a must. The second leg of our Pub Lunch Walk - This time following the trail past Coastguard Cottages (along hedgerow not road) and join the trail from the gate outside the eco house Lookout - you dont need to use the road, just follow behind hedge to The Rocket House and then take the steep hill path down to quayside- again you can avoid roadway when you get to the second car park by heading south (left) and following the pathway. After a nice meal at The Wreckers (by the way book first) return up the hill and turn left at The Rocket House following coastline. past the folly (also known as the pleasure palace)Taking the steps at the end of path drop drown over river to Berry Beach (if tide is ok the steps to beach are on your right as you go past Blackpool Mill Cottage). Return via the footpath but once over the river keep left at gate and left again before the steep climb back to Stoke and St Nectans (you will see the eco house at top of hill)follow the route of Abbey River. Through the woods and back to St Nectans Lane you will see Hartland Abbey in front of you. Turning right it brings you into the Hamlet of Stoke and the front of St Nectans.

About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
