Doorpolderen
De start is in een weelderig naaldbos en dokkert kilometerslang over een fraaie klinkerweg. Het Roggebotbos is aangelegd op een voormalige zandbank, ooit gevreesd was onder zeevaarders. Na een lus door het bos draai je de dijk op om kilometerslang over een fietspad langs het water van het Ketelmeer en Vossemeer te scheren Vlakbij de Ketelbrug gaat het de polders in. Verwacht geen kaarsrechte wegen, want je kronkelt over een beschut fietspad door het Rivierduingebied. Na het Paardenbos en Gelderse Hout, duik je het Natuurpark Lelystad in. Verbaas je niet als je wisenten, wilde zwijnen of edelherten spot! Trap gerust een stukje om als je nog even ‘in het wilde weg’ wilt fietsen en pak de route weer op vanaf de ‘Uitgang Dronterweg’. Je vervolgt je weg over een breed fietspad langs de Dronterweg om vervolgens onder Dronten te zigzaggen over landwegen door de polder. In het Roggebotbos trakteer je jezelf op een pannenkoek van restaurant Het Grote Kabouterbos.
