Zoeven Naar Zaltbommel
Vanaf de start fiets je via polders naar de de Loonse en Drunense duinen, ook wel de Sahara van Brabant genoemd. De zandverstuivingen van het nationale park behoren tot de grootste van West-Europa. Golvend woestijnlandschap maakt na een stukje polder plaats voor traag stromende rivieren. Over de brug bij Heusden steek je de Bergsche Maas over, op naar Zuilichem aan de Waal. Langs de rivier gaat het stroomopwaarts verder naar de Waalkade in Zaltbommel. Strijk als het weer het toelaat op een van de terrassen neer en trakteer jezelf op een kop koffie met wat lekkers. Na deze pauze trap je zuidwaarts om bij Hedel weer de Waal over te steken. Passeer Vlijmen en werp bij Distelberg nog even een blik op de Loonse en Drunense Duinen. Na zo’n 100 km komt Tilburg weer in zicht. Routemeester: Wilko Elsinga
