Pracht En Praal In Het Brabantse Land
Deze route neemt je vanuit Tilburg mee naar de Oisterwijkse bossen en vennen. Even verderop beland je in de Kampina. Dit is het Brabantse land zoals het ooit was. Denk aan loofbossen, blauwgraslanden, natte heide met vennen en beemden. Wat een natuurpracht. Na Lennisheuvel kar je vrolijk verder naar Spoordonk. Een paar kilometer verderop passeer je in het beekdal van de Beerze de Kapel van de Heilige Eik. Het sprookjesachtige praalgebouwtje werd in 1854 gebouwd op de fundamenten van een 17e eeuws kapelletje. Na een moment van bezinning peddel je via de sluis van Haghorst langs het Wilhelminakanaal weer als herboren terug naar Tilburg. Onderweg passeer je nog een kanoboerderij (koffie met koek) met een fraaie uitkijktoren die zicht biedt op het stroomgebied van de Reusel. Routemeester: Wilko Elsinga
