Rondoostpolder
Je tocht in de Noordoostpolder begint ‘op’ Urk, een dorp waar nog steeds een prettige eilandsfeer hangt. Over een buitendijks pad rijd je op de grens met het IJsselmeer. Eenmaal warmgedraaid kom je in een heerlijke flow. Afgewisseld met een passage door de polder, leidt de route naar het Friese stadje Lemmer. Vanaf de Grietenijdijk duik je terug Flevoland in met een lus door het Kuinderbos, het grootste en oudste bos van de Noordoostpolder. Bij Kuinre draai je de oude zeedijk weer op. Waar je nu fietst liep vroeger de kustlijn van de Zuiderzee. Stop in het Waterloopbos voor een pauze. Dit bos was ooit een proeftuin voor waterwerken van over de hele wereld. Daarna zoek je de grenzen van de Noordoostpolder weer op, inclusief uitstapjes naar oude eilanden, zoals het voormalige schiereiland Oud-Kraggenburg en het drooggevallen Schokland (Werelderfgoed). Na de passage van de Ketelbrug koers je terug naar Urk. Beloon jezelf vooral met een lekker visje in de haven!
