Slingerend Door Het Maasland
Met de Slingerberg in Geulle krijg je al een klein voorproefje van wat je te wachten staat: wegen die als feestelijke slingers door het landschap lopen. Eerst steek je de Belgische grens over voor een bezoek aan het ongerepte Maasland, een bossen en waterpartijen gevulde praalkamer. Hierna begint met de Zusserdel, ook wel Tienderberg of in de volksmond ‘Slingerbergske’ genoemd, het kronkelende fietsfeest. Geef maar eens een goeie slinger aan de pedalen en kijk wie het eerste boven is. Op de top knal je zo door de taalbarrière heen en bevind je je op Waals grondgebied. Rue du Garage is de volgende uitdaging. Een lekker klinkende klim voor het grote mes en een afdaling om van te smullen. Vergeet geen foto te maken: de iconische haarspeldbocht vol kasseien is een plaatje. Met 70 km op de teller komt het rode vod in zicht. De Kuitenberg is de laatste horde voor de meet in Valkenburg.
