Boerenfietsroute Tussen Delft En Rotterdam
In Rotterdam is genoeg te beleven. Maar ook net buiten de stad kun je je hart ophalen. Aan de noordrand van Rotterdam wandel of fiets je door oer-Hollandse weides en polders. Het Rotterdams platteland is verdeeld in een aantal polders en natuurgebieden die elk hun eigen bijzondere verhaal hebben. Fiets je even door? Dan kom je in Midden-Delfland.
De fietsroute brengt je door een landschap vol weilanden, boerderijen, koeien en andere dieren. Wat zie jij in het landschap? Welke vogels hoor je? Boer en boswachter vertellen je over de natuur in het boerenland, uitdagingen en wat jij kunt doen. Neem voor de zekerheid wat contant geld mee, misschien kom je langs een boerenstalletje met heerlijke verse en lokale producten.

Deze fietsroute is onderdeel van het droomproject ‘Rotterdam de boer op!’. Natuurmonumenten werkt samen in een coalitie met meer dan 20 partners, bestaande uit boeren, ketenpartijen, (online) supermarkten en ondernemers aan meer biodiversiteit op het platteland, eerlijk geproduceerd regionaal eten en een gezonde bedrijfsvoering voor boeren. Deze droom komt tot leven dankzij een speciale gift van 13,8 miljoen euro van de Nationale Postcode Loterij.

Start de fietsroute vanuit: Delft, Berkel en Rodenrijs, Schiedam of Rotterdam-Noord. Buiten de spits mag je een fiets meenemen in de metro Randstadrail vanuit Rotterdam en Berkel en Rodenrijs
