Weidevogel Fietsroute De Wieden
Deze fietsroute van 34 kilometer volgt het fietsknooppuntennetwerk. Start bij bezoekerscentrum De Wieden en ontdek de mooiste weidevogelgebieden van De Wieden, onderdeel van Nationaal Park Weerribben-Wieden.
Wat hebben weidevogels nodig?
• Plas-dras weiland: door hoge waterstand in winter en voorjaar is de bodem zacht. Dan kunnen ze goed zoeken naar voedsel met hun lange snavel.
• Flauw oplopende slootoevers met veel oeverplanten.
• Veel regenwormen.
• Maaien na half juni, zodat de kuikens vliegvlug kunnen worden.
