De Onlanden (Noord-Drenthe - Groningen)
De kijkboerderij 't Hoge veld aan de Helmerdijk in Paterswolde is het startpunt van deze fietsroute. Het biologisch vleesveebedrijf aan de rand van Eelde-Paterswolde beheert 600 hectare veenweidegebied in het nieuwe natuurgebied De Onlanden in samenwerking met Natuurmonumenten en is in het eigen dorp bekend als ‘De Kijkboerderij’. Vanaf het bordes boven de stallen zijn de schitterende Limousins te bewonderen. Dat wil zeggen: in de winter, want in de zomerperiode begrazen ze de weidegebieden.
