Follow the Butler Trail east for FOUR miles. Turnaround at the marked location, heading west. Take the ramp on the LEFT and follow the pathway to cross to the NORTH side of Town Lake via the I-35 pedestrian bridge crossing. Follow the ramp down on the other side, then take a LEFT onto the Butler Trail, heading WEST.

Take the stairs up to cross the Congress Ave. Bridge, taking the second set of stairs back down to the Butler Trail near the old Statesman Building. Rejoin the Butler Trail, heading WEST on the SOUTH side of the lake.

Cross the street and walk your way up Doug Sahm Hill and back down again. (FUN!!!). Return to the Butler Trail, heading WEST back to the START at the MoPac Pedestrian Bridge.

You should complete this route in under 2 hours and 45 minutes.

About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
