Akkerhommel Route Woerden - Maarssen
Hoewel deze kleine, ronde bestuiver erg lijkt op sommige bijen is de hommel niet het mannetje van de bij zoals sommigen denken.
Wat zijn hommels dan wel? Hommels zijn wilde bijen. De meest voorkomende is de akkerhommel te herkennen aan een plukje oranje haren. Dit diertje is dol op stuifmeel en nectar en te vinden bij fruitbomen en bloeiende planten.
