Veenendaal en Renswoude
De fietsroute voert langs Veenendaal waar een schat aan monumenten terug te vindenis : van kerken tot langhuisboerderijen, stellingkorenmolens en schitterende villa’s. Maar ook voor de innerlijke mens is Veenendaal the place to be. De gastvrije horecagelegenheden aan de Markt geven het centrum een bruisende sfeer en nodigen uit voor een heerlijke kop koffie of lunch. Het beschermde dorpsgezicht van Renswoude is eveneens de moeite waard om te bekijken. Oude monumentale panden geven het stadje een authentieke sfeer.
TOP de Dennen
De route start en eindigt bij TOP de Dennen, een gezellig familierestaurant dat inmiddels door de derde generatie Van de Wetering wordt gerund. Je kunt hier à la carte eten in een gemoedelijke, gastvrije sfeer, genieten van een high tea of gewoon een kop koffie en heerlijk uitrusten en nagenieten van je fietstocht.
Het is ook mogelijk om de fietsroute direct vanuit Veenendaal te starten. Start dan vanaf knooppunt 59, op het kruispunt bij de Hoostraat, het Achterstraatje en de Brouwersgracht. Dit ligt midden in de stad, dus fiets zo vanaf je huis, naar het centrum en volg de fietsknooppunten naar fietsknooppunt 46 en 48.
