Stukje Heide In Gelderland (Elspeet)
De heide en het bos bij Vierhouten bestaan al langer dan een eeuw en speelden een belangrijke rol voor vluchtelingen in de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Tijdens je route kom je namelijk langs Het Verscholen Dorp. Hier vonden zo'n 80 mensen tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog hun toevlucht om niet ontdekt te worden. Bezoek het afstapmoment en kom meer te weten over dit stukje geschiedenis.
Maar er is meer geschiedenis in deze regio. Duik de Steentijd in bij de grafheuvels in Vierhouten. Tot slot kom je een bijzonder kunstwerk tegen tijdens het fietsen, namelijk de Piramides van Daniël George. Een informatieve en mooie fietsroute dus!
