CER-Walk Mill 2 The Hollies With Alt Cafe Option

This is aimed at an alternative, virtual curcumnavigation to the summer Whyte Gate Way version and is meant as a short relatively easy up and down one on good quiet lanes. Although a few are classic single track, there all good paved ones and are in clean rideable condition through winter except after a few days heavy rain.
That said the 3 mile loop around to the cafe at The Hollies via Shey’s Ln are always ok, especially out to Oulton Park.
My route specifically avoids the crappy ones. There is one tiny lane into Norley that can easily be bypassed and that’s Hambletts Hollow, by way of several little tweaks on the day.

There is of course the cheap and chearfull option of the Station House cafe on the Whyte Gate way at 17 miles.
You turn left immediately after the traffic lights, crossing the whyte Gate Way.

About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
