Groenlo - Borculo
Startpunt Marveld Recreatie
Verlaat Marveld Recreatie via de achterzijde van het park. Ga na de brug linksaf en volg de bordjes naar knooppunt 58.
Vestingstad Groenlo
Deze route voert je door de binnenstad van vestingstad Groenlo. In de 80-jarige oorlog werd bij de Slag om Grol in 1627 gevochten om het stadje Grol, de allersterkste vesting in de Nederlanden. Grol, toen al 21 jaar in bezit van de Spaanse troepen, werd door de stedendwinger Prins Frederik Hendrik veroverd in dertig dagen. Het oude vestingstadje is nog steeds voorzien van bastions en de oude stadsmuur. De gracht met het ravelijn is nog intact.
Groenlose Slinge
Achter Winterswijk ontspringt de laaglandbeek Groenlose Slinge. De beek mondt uit tussen Lochem en Borculo. Door het Waterschap Rijn en IJssel is de Groenlose Slinge aangemerkt als Ecologische Verbindingszone.
Kerkdorp Beltrum
Er lopen vele mooi fietsroutes door het kerkdorp Beltrum. Bij de fietsroute over de Kerkenpaden van Beltrum fiets je over verschillende prachtige coulisselandschappen. Deze route bevat half verharde paden. Er zijn kikkerpoelen aangelegd, knotwilgen geplant en de paden lopen deels over de grond van agrariërs.
Museumstadje Borculo
Het Museumstadje Borculo telt een opmerkelijk aantal musea. Een paar jaar geleden waren het er nog acht, nu zijn er nog vijf open die samen jaarlijks tienduizenden bezoekers trekken. Je hoeft je geen moment te vervelen in Borculo. Naast alle musea is er ook nog een stadsvaart die je kan maken met de Berkelzomp.
Recreatiegebied Hambroekplas
Nabij Borculo ligt het recreatiegebied Hambroekplas en is 365 dagen per jaar toegankelijk van zonsopgang tot zonsondergang. Toegang tot het meer is gratis voor wandelaars en fietsers. Je kunt heerlijk genieten bij dit recreatiegebied. Van zonnen tot zwemmen, van vissen tot spelen op speeltoestellen.
