This Circular Route starts and ends at Hertford College. See the main sights in Oxford with this hour long tour of the city!

Begin by circling Radcliffe square, taking in the Radcliffe Camera, St. Mary's Church, the Bodleian Library and the Sheldonian Theatre.
Take a walk up the beautiful tree-lined Parks Road to reach the University's Museum of Natural History. Then, cut through Museum Road and the Lamb and Flag Passage to arrive on St. Giles.
Walking back South will bring you back to Broad Street. Walk past Balliol College before taking a right turn down Turl Street, passing both Jesus and Exeter College.
The next stop on the route is the Covered Market, where there are several shops to pick up some extra food or refreshments for the journey?

Walk down the busy High Street, keeping an eye open for a small side street to the right, Magpie Lane. This road takes you directly to the entrance gate to Christ Church Meadows. Head straight on through, past Merton and then the cricket pitches. Take a left when you reach the edge of Christ Church College, and walk all the way along past the Botanical Gardens.
You will come up through Rose Lane, and join the High Street again. Take a left to start heading back towards the city centre, and look for a right turn down Queen's Lane. Following this walled passage will lead you all the way through back to Hertford, passing under the Bridge of Sighs to end the walk!

Happy exploring!

About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
