Garden and book store to start at 10am, very chill. Book store is sick, check out the vault in the basement.
Walk past castle and skate park to see where the rivers meet.
Walk through park created at the height of the British Empire, a statement piece of the time. The flower beds were the height of victorian design and have been preserved as such. Say hi to queen vic.
Walk under eden bridge, around the river and over the steel bridge.
The cricket ground was constructed as part of the Victorian renovation of the city.
It was originally the site of a roman bath house that featured recently in the national geographic.
The pond is new and is fed by the springs that fed the bath house.
Check out the river from the opposite side, its easier to run down the hill. you're more likely to fall if you go slow!
Loop back on yourself and check out the some of the prime real estate of carlisle.
Cross the road at the crossing and visit the chinese gardens. Another victorian addition. The now closed toilets were previously a bustling gay scene.
Back over the bridge and through the underpass to finish at the foot of town.
