Brabants Kloosterpad: Ronde Uden
Een weelde van groen. Die vind je tijdens deze fietsronde binnen én buiten kloostermuren. Bijvoorbeeld bij startpunt Museum Krona in Uden, dat bijzondere verhalen over religieuze kunst en het kloosterleven vertelt. Een goed bewaard geheim is de strak ingedeelde kruidentuin met geneeskrachtige planten, keukenkruiden, verfstofplanten en zeldzame inheemse gewassen.
Het natuurschoon maakt je hoofd leeg
Fiets je door De Maashorst en het unieke urnenveld Slabroek, Herperduin en de Reekse Heide, dan is het niet moeilijk voor te stellen dat het groen kloosterlingen hielp focussen op hun dagelijkse aardse taken. Op de noeste arbeid van werken en bidden. Daar kunnen wij nog wat van leren, met alle afleiding om ons heen. Terwijl het natuurschoon op deze fietstocht voorbij trekt, raakt je hoofd leeg. Niets moet. Behalve genieten. Maar dat is op deze route absoluut geen opgave.
