About

Race the City are races located in some of the area's most beautiful places to run. They are small in scale but with a technical t-shirt and finisher's medal plus real time chip timing and online tracking. The courses are simple. The Central Park course starts on East Drive (the inner loop for runners and cyclists only) goes up a short path to the famous 1.5 mile track around the Jaqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir, you complete one loop and return to the start point and continue north on East Drive in the runners lane. You turn left onto the 102nd Street Transverse, run to a turn-around point, and return to the finish on the same course. 10K runners complete this course twice. Water and Gatorade are provided at the Start/Finish and the U-Turn for access 3 times for each loop. Age group awards and overall awards are handed out after the final wave. Pictures are available online shortly after the event. Edit
