I was busy editing routes yesterday without problem. Today, I cannot edit routes. When I bring up the edit page, none of the buttons work, and there is no way to change the base map. When I move the pointer, it does update lat/lon in the upper right, I can slip and zoom the map with the mouse but not selecting the buttons; no buttons work. I tried two different browsers, Firefox and Chromium.

Was a change made in the last 12 or so hours? Please revert it.

Same problem.  I have tried a different computer and different browser.    Cannot edit maps.  Cannot plot a new route.  Something went broken.

Same problem here - what is happening?

Same problem here on Windows 11 in latest Firefox 151.0.1. Can't edit maps; 'hills' toggle "redded out" and not showing ascent; 'clear' and 'leave trace' buttons not functional.

I just searched by place-name for "Craster" (Northumberland coast) in order to plot a new route, but a pre-mapped 10.5-miler appears and I'm unable to interact with it.

If this takes quite a while to resolve, may I please ask that paying subscribers' renewal dates are concomitantly delayed? Many thanks.

    Mark

    Hi all, first post here.

Same problems here, unable to upload routes or create/edit new ones. All was OK at about 11am this morning as I had to recreate a route I had just ridden because my Garmin malfunctioned.

Tried various web browsers (Chrome, Brave, Opera, Bing) on Windows 11 all with the same problem. Also tried restarting, still nothing.

At first sight, problem now seems to be solved ... at least for me.

Can confirm, it is now working again, thank you for reporting, and thank you to whoever fixed it.

    Hi everyone,

Yesterday, 25 May, between approximately 1 pm and 7 pm, many of you contacted us via the help desk and forum regarding several issues affecting route plotting and, in particular, route editing.

While investigating several ongoing issues and deploying fixes, some changes unexpectedly caused further problems across the website. As a result, parts of Plotaroute were unavailable or not functioning correctly for several hours.

Our team worked throughout the day to restore the affected features and resolve the issues as quickly as possible. We also took the opportunity to fix some longstanding problems, including:

    • Cycle Map: when fully zoomed in, the map no longer turns white.
    • OS + TOPO: labels and descriptions are now consistent between the website and web app.
    • OS + TOPO: printing is now working again, as it already was for the OS Map. The same limitation still applies and is shown when selecting this map for printing:
“This map may only be used for personal non-commercial purposes. To be clear, the use of prints for planning permission applications is not permitted.”
    • Visorando link: routes synced with Visorando are now correctly synchronised with the English website.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience and understanding.

    The Visorando Team

Thank you very much Plotaroute/Visorando team/devs for your swift efforts at fixing this issue, especially on a bank holiday and in scorching temperatures when I'm 100% certain you'd rather have done something more pleasant! Cheers, Mark

    Hi Mark,

Thanks for your kind words. :)
I'll share them with the team right away.

    All the best,
    Julien
