    Hello and welcome to the very first stage of the Baton of Hope Wrexham tour!

    The day will begin with Project Lead Susan Dray bringing the Baton into Wrexham aboard her narrowboat along the Llangollen Canal in Chirk. From there, Susan will walk the short distance to Caffi Wylfa, where we’ll officially launch the day with our very first Hope Hub. Join us there for a complimentary breakfast, guest speakers, and a chance to see the Baton set off on its Wrexham journey.

    From Caffi Wylfa, the tour will officially start and the Baton will be carried on foot through Chirk, passing from Baton Bearer to Baton Bearer. This section of the walk ends at the ‘White Gates’ of Chirk Castle.

    At that point, the Baton will take a short ride in style - transported by motorcycle and sidecar - up to the main entrance gates of Chirk Castle. From there, our Baton Bearers will once again take over, carrying it up the grand driveway and through the stunning castle grounds.

    Chirk Castle marks the second Hope Hub of the day, with more activities, speakers, entertainment and complimentary refreshments.
