Why do i get blank squares on my maps, these appear about 5 minuits after loading Plotaroute on my PC.

Could you share more details so I can try to replicate this issue?

What base map are you using?
What are you doing during those 5 minutes? Are you plotting a route without blank squares and then they appear?
Does zooming in/out of the map load the tiles?

Hi Julien.

After opening Plotaroute on my PC. I go to plotting a route and, after about 1 or 2 minuites grey squares appear, they can be as little as 2in square and sometimes bigger. They can be as many as 4 or 5 making plotting a route imposible as I can't see the maps because of the squares.

Does this happen regardless of the base map you're using? If this happens only or more frequently on one, which one is it?

When you say that they appear, do you mean that you move the map and squares appear, or do they appear even without moving the map?

Also, you say that you have made the screen on the PC smaller, so I'm guessing you zoomed in/out on your browser.
Have you also tried zooming in or out of the map? Does this make the blank squares disappear?

Hi Julien, no matter what i do, every time i open the app, i can't plot a route because of these grey squares that appear blocking parts of the map, and yes, it happens every time i open Plotaroute on my PC. It never happens on Google maps or Garmin Connect.

I've been having the same issue for months. Areas where the map hasn't loaded. Zooming in and out sometimes helps to clear it. I'd load an image but...

I generally use street map but Ijust did a test and it also happens with the terrain map, and to a lesser degree with some of the others (during this limited timeframe).

Thanks for your quick answer.

Street is the one most users have reported having issues with, but Terrain as well.

Devs are looking into this. I hope there will be improvements soon.

I'll update the forum as soon as they update anything.
