Too many steps in log in processFORUMS HOME SEARCH FORUMS

Windows 11, Firefox in Private browsing mode.

Plotaroute login process for Premium:

1. Open Plotaroute webpage.
2. "Where would you like to plot a route?" popup - no option to log in. Please add one.
3. Close the popup. (Advertisement tab on right.)
4. Click Sign In.
5. Enter details.
5. Click Sign in now.

The tab saying Advertisement and Go Premium is still there (it should clear).

6. Click Reload to try to clear that tab.
7. "Where would you like to plot a route?" popup appears again.
8. Close the popup.

The tab has gone, I can now start working.
It shouldn't take 8 steps to log in as a Premium member.

Looking at your step 2, I'm wondering if you have bookmarked this URL: https://www.plotaroute.com/routeplanner

If this is the case, I recommend using https://www.plotaroute.com/ instead, because this only requires 4 steps:

1. Open https://www.plotaroute.com/
2. Go to "Sign in" at the top right corner
3. Enter details
4. Click Sign In

You are now signed in without any ads, and if you want to start plotting, it'll require a fifth step, by going to "Create > Plot a route"

No, that URL is met from running a search on DuckDuckGo -  and it no longer happens to me. Did you guys fix it, or did their bot notice my frustration?

Nonetheless, a link to Sign In from the popup would be useful. Some search engine bot, "AI", or whatever is likely to recreate this issue at some point, routeplanner is likely to be your most popular page.

I'm glad that you are no longer experiencing this issue! I haven't heard anything from the devs, so I'm not sure if they changed anything.

In any case, I will bring this additional "sign in" button up with the devs again, to improve this in the future.
