Create a route put some straight lines througoutFORUMS HOME SEARCH FORUMS

I cannot word this properly, but most of the route is fine, but then it decides to just draw a point to point line. Example below. It does not follow any path, just a straight line. Am I doing something wrong??

I'm sorry your screenshot isn't included in this post, but the topic was flagged by our system, so I deleted the picture.

However, I was able to save it beforehand to look into this. The result is definitely not something that should happen with auto-plot turned on.

Trying to replicate this, I just saw on the screenshot that the route starts off-screen, goes to point A, then the straight line happens.
A should be the start point, so I'm guessing you might have used one of the tools, like "Combine routes".

Looking forward to your answer and additional context.

Hi there - no, I just set a start point, asked it to do 20 miles (prefer off road) and off it plots. Its a bit frustrating as I didnt have this before (relatively new user). I have tried afterwards to 'fix up gps' but this creates all sorts of issues.

Apologies, I didn't understand that you were using the "Make me a route" tool to plot your route.

You are not alone with this issue, which does seem to be quite new.
I reported it last week, after someone got in touch about it via the help desk.
I was also able to reproduce the issue.

As soon as the devs can look into this, I'll update this topic.

thanks for the feedback - for info, it only seems to be on the longer routes. I did a 7,5 mile this morning and worked perfectly

Hi I have the same issue, but also with shorter routes. In my case around 8 kilometres (5mi).

Thanks for sharing that the issue isn't only linked to the length of the route.

I've started looking into this with the dev team, but the issue has not been fixed yet.

I'll update the topic as soon as there is any news on this.
