    This is the actual track of my first ascent of Hungry Hill. There is no need to go all the way in to the valley and you can actually start the ascent from the bottom of the west ridge. Pass any rocky outcrops on the left and you should be ok. There are some steep drop offs to the right of them. Technical climb with scrambling in places. Not possible, or at least would be very difficult in the wet or with poor visibility. I had very sunny and dry conditions. Bogs were almost completely dried up which made it much easier. Not a great trail run but good training. No markings and had to spend a good amount of time figuring out my route. It is better to stick closer to the north ridge on the way down if not going to the lakes.
