    Het noordelijkste deel van de Utrechtse Heuvelrug kent eindeloos veel brede onverharde fietspaden en vormt een walhalla voor gravelbikers. Maar je bent niet alleen; in de weekenden kan het druk zijn met andere recreanten, van hondenuitlaters tot e-bikers en vogelspotters. Daarom houdt deze route zich aan de officiƫle fietspaden, ondanks dat je in grote delen van het Goois Natuurreservaat vrij mag fietsen op wegen en paden. De ronde is geschikt voor de beginnende gravelrijder: het wordt nergens echt lastig wordt en de paden bestaan uit stevig aangestampt grind. Na de start en twee brede grindwegen volg je fietspaden over de Zuiderheide, Westerheide en de Bussumer Heide. Via het Spanderswoud en over Landgoed Boekestein en Gooilust trap je aan de westzijde van Hilversum om bij de Hoorneboegse Heide uit te komen. Om de 65 km aan te tikken pak je de mooiste onverharde paden rondom Lage- en Hoge Vuursche mee. Uiteindelijk kom je via de Goyengracht weer bij het begin uit.
