    De eerste kilometers van De Slinger gaan met een beetje geluk voortvarend met meewind op de Oostvaardersdijk. Vanaf het fietspad op de dijk heb je magistraal uitzicht over het Markermeer en de Oostvaardersplassen. Je kronkelt door het natuurgebied De Grote Trap dat met drie jaar zelfs voor Flevolandse begrippen piepjong is. Bij Zeewolde duik je het Horsterwold in, met 3700 hectare één van de grootste aaneengesloten loofbossen van Nederland. Klim daar vooral naar het uitzichtpunt van de Circle of Life om de weidsheid van het Horsterwold te ervaren. In de finale rondom Almere volgen de hoogtepunten elkaar op. Je waant je in Giethoorn op het Vierbruggenpad en fietst bij het Weerwater onder de kabelbaangondels door van het in aanbouw zijnde Floriade-terrein. Vlak voor de finish fiets je door de duinen. Nee, je bent niet per ongeluk in Zandvoort beland, maar in de strandwijk Duin. Na aankomst bij Boathouse kun je nog even in strandsferen blijven met een drankje aan het water. Proost
