Kyle's 46K Birthday Run
Run, walk, ride, skate, scoot, e-bike, or even drive slowly with your flashers on and hand out water. Come for one mile or twenty. This is about more than a birthday. It’s about celebrating the gift of life, health, community… and clean water.
This run is both an act of solidarity and a fundraiser for Team World Vision as I prepare for the Hood to Coast Relay this August. My goal is to raise $15,000 to bring life-changing clean water to 300 people in South Sudan. So far, together, we’ve raised over $6,000.
I was born the very morning Mt. St. Helens erupted 46 years ago. I’m not saying the two events were related, but history shows the Pacific Northwest can get a little shaken up when I arrive on the scene.
So for my 46th birthday, I’m hoping to spark a different kind of eruption — generosity, hope, and clean water — as we push toward the next fundraising milestone of $10,000 for South Sudan.

About the Calorie Calculator
Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.
When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.
Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
