Best Tortworth Valley
Path past self catering property but sometimes cattle in that field.
Hermit cell associated with Celtic faith thought to be in this valley.
Tower house now lived in but was part of lake water supply mechanism .
Turn down to the right by rabbit breeding cottage.
Watch for path to the right to metal walkers gate and down across to a stile.
Next Valley had fish pools and now unimproved grassland . Usually wild flowers .
Leave this field at up hill gate as you can't get out at the Valley end. Follow road and go along a track to Soddam mill . Disregard the sign as its no longer lived in and used . In Feb the area around the mill is swathed in snowdrops. Follow over the bridge and climb the field to return to the original road past holiday cottage.
