This is the reverse version of the same called MG- Elephant cafe. In order to make the Dee river section a tailwind. However, it is also 6 miles shorter, as the cafe location is in Burton and is called ‘Burton at the Manor’.
It is the most direct way to the Elephant cafe and almost pan flat route, without using main A roads. This route takes us around the nuclear enrichment plant at Capenhurst. However it might look like A roads from Costco to Cheshire Oaks, but it is on a cycle way all the way to rake lane.
Return route is via the nuclear enrichment plant, Costco & Cheshire Oaks of course wash and Dee cycle This means we should be able to grab a cafe stop at Meadow Lea cafe on the return, as it is a long route.
All in all a very interesting flat route.

You have to have at least a descent cross tailwind to tackle the River Dee towpath, as it is almost 5 miles and completely exposed. If a headwind then use Greenway.

There are in fact numerous cafe options around the area of Ness and the Parkway, but further of course. However there is another route covering the Elephant cafe and 55 miles total. It is called CER- Alison’s to Elephant cafe.

CALCULATE CALORIES

About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
