    Ontdek met deze fietsronde van 52 km het charmante Brabantse land. Ervaar de natuur van Brabantse vennen, fiets door groene landgoederen en traditionele dorpen. Onderweg kom je langs het bijzondere Processiepark de Heilige Eik dat getuigt van een wonder. Eindig je route bij de Pelgrimsherberg in Vessem. Als je wil vindt je hier een ontmoeting met mensen die inspirerende pelgrimsroutes maken.

    Spoordonk is een traditioneel Brabants dorp, gevormd rond de Sint-Bernadettekerk. Het is ook een voorbeeld van hoe religieus erfgoed een andere functie krijgt in de lokale samenleving, als dorpshuis. Op andere plaatsen blijft het juist bij het oude.

    Het wonder wordt nog steeds herdacht
    Kijk maar naar processiepark Heilige Eik in Oirschot. Daar vonden herders ooit een Mariabeeld, dat ze in een eik plaatsten. Bewoners van Oostelbeers verhuisden het naar hun kerk, maar de volgende ochtend verscheen het beeldje tóch weer in de eik. Een wonder, dat nog steeds herdacht wordt. Getuige de vele kaarsjes in de kapel. Levende geschiedenis kom je ook nog tegen op Landgoed Baest, net buiten Oirschot. Achthonderd jaar geleden werkten hier de Norbertijnen van Berne en van Tongerloo. Met deze fietsronde kom je dus door verleden en heden, beide onlosmakelijk met elkaar verbonden.
