Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.
When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.
Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.

Please be aware that you will go past a very busy family site called Xmas Tree Farm. This part is a narrow lane often with parked cars and families with pushchairs and elderly walking along the road to the farm entrance.
My husband is a great cyclist. Today a cyclist wasn't happy that I waited for a family and a pram to walk up the road towards the farm. He came up to my car from behind and hit it as I was stationary with his hand and forced my wing mirror in to squeeze past...not that he could as he still didn't have room and he bashed his bike and feet into the parked car at the side of me too.
Appalling behaviour. This would be a good circuit for those of you who are not only really good cyclists but also have nothing to prove and a sense of decency.
