I'm a member of the Long Distance Walkers Association but tend to do shorter stuff as an ageing trail and fell runner. I plan my routes on a paper map but if they don't look good on the ground, I'll explore alternatives to find the best one. I need my routes to be interesting or I just can't be bothered. Lumpy ground preferred.
