Oude IJsselstreekroute (Doetinchem)
Op Landgoed Slangenburg vind je bossen, akkers, lanen, grachten, vijvers en weilanden. Het lanenstelsel van het Landgoed is uniek voor Nederland en Europa, vanwege de schaal en authenticiteit. Het middelpunt van het landgoed is Kasteel Slangenburg. Het kasteel staat al vanaf 1354 in de bossen bij Doetinchem. Er zijn hier daarom ook veel middeleeuwse muurwerken.
Museumboerderij Hofshuus
Vervolgens kun je genieten van de prachtige museumboerderij het Hofshuus vol herinneringen uit het verleden. Rondom de boerderij ligt een erf met mooie tuinen en ‘oude’ gewassen. De voorwerpen die je hier aantreft zijn niet verzameld om hun schoonheid, maar omdat ze ‘uit het leven gegrepen zijn’.
Theetuin NatuurlijkBUITEN
Aan het water in alle rust genieten van een (h)eerlijk potje thee of kop koffie met een streekeigen of huisgebakken lekkernij bij Theetuin NatuurlijkBUITEN. Vanaf het erf loop je door de vogeltuin met een grote variatie aan bloeiende planten, struiken en vruchten. In de vlindertuin fladderen vlinders van bloem naar bloem en via een tegelpad loop je zo door de moestuin.
DRU industriepark
Je vervolgt je route naar het DRU industriepark in Ulft die eind 2003 voorgoed haar deuren heeft gesloten. Het oude fabriekscomplex krijgt als industrieel erfgoed en rijksmonument, een herbestemming. De gebouwen worden omgetoverd tot multifunctionele accommodaties. Het huidige DRU industriepark is een ontmoetingsplek voor alle leeftijden.
Sluis de Pol
Door de ligging midden in de Oude IJssel is Sluis de Pol een uniek kunstwerk. Deze sluis is hier in 1953 gebouwd, waarvoor zelfs de rivier is verlegd.
Kasteel de Kelder
Aan de kelderlaan in de Kruisbergse Bosschen ligt Kasteel de Kelder. Het kasteel heeft een rijke geschiedenis waarvan lang niet alles bekend is. Wel is bekend dat men vroeger in plaats van Kasteel de Kelder ‘het gebouw’ havezate Hagen noemde. Een havezate is oorspronkelijk een kasteelboerderij, maar die functie heeft de Kelder eeuwen geleden slechts eenmaal gehad.
