    This run starts at Armentieres Square by Tesco in Stalybridge. All of this run will be done on the canal except from when you arrive at Ashton-under-Lyne as the canal is not continuous. You will need to run through ASDA car park and across the road (programmed into this route) to rejoin the canal on the other side. From here it's a long sweeping canal footpath journey until you arrive at Piccadilly Village in Manchester city center. The route finishes conveniently just off Ducie Street and Manchester Piccadilly railway station. The route may become busier as you approach the city center but is largely navigable at most points and throughout the year with plenty of room to pass others. Through the summer months there is plenty of light to enjoy this route until later in the evening but during the later autumn and winter months an adequate head torch will be necessary as much of the route is not lit and there are plenty of points along the route under these conditions will make visibility minimal
