    Hi Julien,

Apologies for being a bit late to send you this - I think you're already up to speed on the problem.

Many thanks for your quick responses to these snags.  It appears all the OS map scales are now restored, though we're not quite back to 'normal':   I now notice that at some zoom levels (on OS only, it seems) there is mixing of different map types - eg OS and TRAILS.

I've just sent two screen shot examples of the OS zooming problems via the help desk - hopefully self-explanatory.   (Two messages, "OS maps 01" and "OS maps 02", as I can't seem to attach two files in one message...)

    Regards, NC

    Hi again,

This morning the devs changed the available scales on the OS + TOPO map layer.
It is now possible to zoom out way more than before.

However, to take full advantage of this, it requires emptying the browser's cache.

We are aware of the following difference: at a specific zoom level, the map shown is different between most of the South and the North of the UK.
This is linked with our projection model, and we're not sure this can be changed.
We hope it's not too much of an issue at this zoomed-out level.

    All the best,
    Julien

    Hi,

    @Richard:

    Thanks for bringing this up.

I have just reported this to the devs and will update this topic as soon as I receive any news.

    @N C:

I think the devs are already aware of this, but just to make sure, and if you haven't already done so (I'm a bit behind on support with the Easter Weekend), could you send me the screen grab via the help desk?

    Thanks,
    Julien

I can no longer PRINT the OS or even the new OP+TOPO, can view but does not come up in the print option list

    Hi Julien,

One more thing (!) re zoom levels on OS maps:   When zoomed in, there's now visible mis-match in between tiles in some areas at particular magnifications (zoom levels).  That's to say they 'join-up' OK, but the rendering is different - as though different OS map styles have been used, although at the same scale.  (I have a screen grab as an example, but can't seem to attach it here).

    Regards, NC

    Thanks for the update, Julien!

    Hi Mark,

The recent issues, especially with the slow tiles and with the ISP security features, blacklisting some tile servers, have led the devs to try something new: using Visorando's map servers for all the maps which exist on Plotaroute and on Visorando.

That's why OS + Topo Map, for example, now says "Tiles © Visorando" at the bottom right corner.

So the reason why there are now different zoom levels on Plotaroute is that they also exist on Visorando (as well as the different topo maps).

The devs are already looking into a fix to get the zoom level back to what it was on Plotraoute before.

    I'll share any news here.

    Julien

Any reason why suddently the mixing of top map types at different zoom levels?

    Thanks, NC.

I'll make sure to share this feedback as well.

As soon as there is any news on this, I'll update this topic.

    Hi Julien,

I'm in agrement with Mark W on this re the smaller OS scales.  Nothing quite gives an appreciation of UK road type and terrain as well as OS, and I find the smaller OS scale maps (ie 1:250k) very useful for an overview of longer routes.  Please restore!

    Regards, NC
