Popular Routes
I'm plotting a route using the online method, adding a direction, then adding a symbol. The help text that appears (white on black) does not disappear and stays fixed on the map. You can move the map around and the text will stay in position on the screen. The only way to clear it is to restart.
Hi Mark,
Thanks for bringing this up.
I had the same issue recently, and shortly after, someone got in touch with me via the help desk, so I have already reported the bug. This seems to only happen on Chrome or Chromium-based browsers, such as Brave.
I'll update you as soon as I receive any news.
Julien
Ok, thanks Julien!
Still happening!
I'm sorry to hear this.I haven't heard back from the devs yet. This might take another couple of weeks.
I'll let you know as soon as possible.Kind regards,Julien
Just to say I'm also having this problem with the web interface using Chrome browser on a Chromebook. It doesn't happen for every annotation I add or edit but after the first message lingers others quickly pile up. It happens enough that I have to save and reload a route maybe every 30 minutes. I never use directions but have noticed that twice the setting seems to have changed so they begin to appear, which I've again resolved by saving the route, closing and reloading from My Routes, or by saving and then hitting browser refresh button.
I'm appreciative that you are looking into already but thought more data may be of help
Same Problem with Edge. The white on black text "click here to .. " does not disappear and stays in the middle of the screen, blocking other information.
Hi Jacobus and Underway Today,
I'm very sorry for the late reply. I was on sick leave for the past few weeks and am now catching up on the forum, while the team focused on the help desk in my absence.
I've rescheduled the regular "Bugs" meeting I have with the development team and will make sure to bring this bug to their attention again.
All the best,Julien
