This is a short Small hills ride aimed at stiff SE winds hence, the route heads off with the wind and cheats it through Delamere forest and then cheats it again on my favourite hill from Norley and onto the Whytegate Way

We come off the Whytegate Way and stop at station house cafe, after 20 miles Then continue to Little Budworth, Eaton, Tarporley and home. 28 miles is the route from Rose Farm and back.

This route is easy to short cut as well at the beginning by roughly 4-5 miles by going through Kelsall and out via the Co Op on Langley Ln. Simply follow that lane until the Delamere Forest road junction and then pick up the route again.

NOTE: as of April 26 the bridge just half mile past the Station house cafe, on the Whytegate Way, is out for major work, There is no road on it, just the supports, so there is no way of getting over it or slipping past it, as there is no alternative route of any kind. Can’t even get down off Whytegate way into adjacent fields. no option but to back track to cafe and Clays lane, So there is no way of extending this route to Winsford. This route is in fact a short version of the original, much longer Winsford route that actual got scuppered when we discovered the bridge out.

    CALCULATE CALORIES

    About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
