    Das Hollandrad lässt man besser zu Hause, das Rennrad ebenfalls. Wer auf dieser Tour ohne kleine Gänge auskommen muss, der hat schlechte Karten. Außerdem wartet man lieber gutes Wetter ab. Denn der Teutoburger Wald hat am westlichen Stadtrand von Bielefeld mehr zu bieten als flache Anstiege und ebenen Asphalt. Mehr als einmal geht es steil die Höhenzüge hinauf, und dabei sind die Wege nicht immer in bestem Zustand. Im Gegenzug bietet der Trail viele Stationen für eine informative Pause: „Fenster in die Erdgeschichte“ beleuchten vergangene Zeitalter und sogar Spuren eines ehemaligen Steinkohlebergbaus liegen an der Strecke. Aber was diese Route vor allem ausmacht, sind die vielen tollen Landschaftseindrücke. Also: öfters mal eine Pause einlegen und einfach die Natur genießen!
